Architecture for Humanity NY's Mad Fun Farm Project seeks one-day volunteers for site surveys this Sunday, April 1st from 12 to 4PM. The surveys are essential for Concrete Safaris, an organization devoted to empowering youth to be healthy leaders through green exercise programs, to develop a garden scheme for the residents of Jefferson Houses. In participating in this survey, volunteers are helping Concrete Safaris achieve several of its goals of creating opportunities for children to lead a healthy lifestyle through nutrition, physical activity, entrepreneurial skills, and community involvement as well as working within Architecture for Humanity’s focus areas of alleviating poverty, community building, and design for at-risk populations.
The ideal volunteer will know how to use a tape measure, have some site surveying experience. Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus!
