Architecture for Humanity NY MadFunFarm is seeking one dedicated individual to join the team as project co-coordinator. Located in an urban garden, this exciting project consists of designing and building a temporary structure which will function as a stage with the capacity for rain water collection integrated within its structure.
Our chapter is calling on our fans and supporters to create a "Why I Love Architecture for Humanity New York" t-shirt design. The winning design will be printed on a t-shirt that will get used in fundraising and awareness efforts that support us throughout the year.
Canstruction® is an international charity competition where architects, engineers, contractors and students they mentor, compete to design and build giant structures made entirely from full cans of food. Description
ARTfarm has had a wonderful run, but the time has come to remove it from the site.
We are seeking volunteers to help remove the planters, soil, and plants so the Department of Transportation can use the site for its next project.
As a bonus, there are many events at the Bronx Museum that you'll be welcome to attend that day.
Please feel free to bring friends to help, and we look forward to seeing you there!
Under the BQE is looking for volunteers for its upcoming community charrette on November 3rd, 2011.
Our volunteers will be working directly with members of the community, facilitating discussion and getting the community's input on issues and solutions to traffic and safety issues at the site.
We could use a few more volunteers to help document this exchange of thoughts, comments and ideas by taking notes and photos. This will help us develop a traffic and safety masterplan proposal in the next phase.
When: Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 11am - 4pm
