CANstruction: Volunteers needed November 14 - November 21, 2011

Canstruction® is an international charity competition where architects, engineers, contractors and students they mentor, compete to design and build giant structures made entirely from full cans of food. At the close of the competition all of the food from the New York City competition will be donated to City Harvest. We are seeking volunteers to help remove the planters, soil, and plants so the Department of Transportation can use the site for its next project. Under the BQE - Urgent Call for Volunteers

Under the BQE is looking for volunteers for its upcoming community charrette on November 3rd, 2011. Our volunteers will be working directly with members of the community, facilitating discussion and getting the community's input on issues and solutions to traffic and safety issues at the site. We could use a few more volunteers to help document this exchange of thoughts, comments and ideas by taking notes and photos. This will help us develop a traffic and safety masterplan proposal in the next phase.
