The Director of Development is responsible for developing organizational strategies and pursuing organizational opportunities.
The Director of Development’s responsibilities include:
establishing and maintain relationships with beneficial organizations.
managing partnerships both between Architecture for Humanity NY and external organizations and between two external organizations, including relationships with city organizations, press, and media.
developing a long term plan for the organizations finances.
working with the Events Coordinator to generating events that foster external relationships and public presence including conferences.
working with projects for grant preparation documents.
maintaining all information pertinent to fundraising and partners with project teams during fundraising to facilitate their efforts and ensure members follow the appropriate channels of acquiring funds.
overseeing grant writing and fundraising research volunteer teams as needed.
determining the best places for the organization to have a public presence, attend appropriate events, and publicizing these events to members through the Director of Membership, Communications, and Records.
work with the Director’s of Membership, Projects, and Communications to pursue options for short term projects that pursue the goals of the organization.
functioning as a visionary establishing paths through which the organization can best meet their goals.
working with the Grants and Research Coordinator to coordinate research on grants, fundraising, and other financial opportunities which will benefit the organization and it’s projects.
